50th anniversary celebrated


WALES – A surprise celebration was held on May 18 for Henry and Lorraine Raymond, Sr. of Wales, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The gathering was held at the Taste of Maine Restaurant in Woolwich, where they were presented with a trip to Florida, a money tree, a 50th anniversary plate, a then-and-now picture frame and many cards and monetary gifts.

Judy Poulin, mother of Mrs. Raymond, was a special guest at the party, along with their children and their families.

Mr. Raymond and the former Lorraine Poulin were married by the Rev. Herve Carrier at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston on May 18, 1957. They have seven children, Debbie Paradis, Cindy Faucher and her husband, Dan, Brenda Geoffroy and her husband, Jim, Ann Nault and her husband, John, Henry Raymond Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Michael Raymond and Becky Raymond.

They are the proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren, Melissa Grant, Jason Paradis, Derek and Craig Bourgoin, Daniel Brannigan, Alexis Faucher, Anya and Scott Geoffroy, Randy and Stacy Nault and Kyle Williams. They are also great-grandparents to Demetri Paradis and Josh and Nicholas Grant.

They are members of St. Phillip’s Church in Auburn, as well as members of the New Auburn Senior Citizens. They enjoy time with their dog, Katie, and playing bingo at St. Louis in Auburn.
