LEWISTON – The following cases were closed recently in 8th District Court:

Babiker A. Abdelhafiz, 48, Euless, Texas, assault on March 31, sent to jury trial.

John R. Aceto, 37, Windham, operating while license suspended or revoked on Jan. 24, transferred to Superior Court.

Dicky L. Adkins, 30, Buckfield, assault and refusing to sign a criminal summons on Jan. 22, both charges permanently transferred to Superior Court.

Jeffrey A. Alanskas, 40, Mechanic Falls, possession of marijuana on Feb. 23, dismissed.

Allen R. Albanesi, 61, Rumford, violating condition of release and operating while license suspended or revoked on Feb. 9, found guilty on both charges, sentenced to two days on first charge; fined $250 on second charge.

Amber S. Albison, 19, Lewiston, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana on Feb. 19, offense committed on both charges, fined $300 on first charge; fined $350 on second charge.

Nelson Anaya, 31, Lewiston, disorderly conduct and criminal threatening on April 27, 2004, and assault and violating condition of release on May 23, 2004, all charges dismissed.

Roland Anctil, 50, Lewiston, assault on Nov. 25, filed with no cost.

Lizbeth Anson, 43, New Gloucester, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on Oct. 17, 2003, found guilty on both charges, fined $100 on first charge; fined $300 on second charge; also charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, violating condition of release, and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on Nov. 16, 2003, found guilty on all charges, sentenced to 10 days for each charge.

Allison Auger, 30, Lewiston, operating after registration suspended on Nov. 16, found guilty, fined $100.

Tammy Baillargeon, 23, Lewiston, operating while license suspended or revoked on Jan. 5, dismissed.

Raymond T. Bankowski, 46, Norway, operating under the influence on Dec. 31, found guilty, fined $500, sentenced to 48 hours and license suspended 90 days.

Nicholas Baril, 18, Auburn, possession of liquor by a minor on March 10, offense committed, fined $200.

Paula J. Barry, 32, Auburn, criminal trespass and violating condition of release on April 8, found guilty on both charges, sentenced to two days for each charge.

Paul H. Basile, 25, Cumberland, failure to register vehicle on Feb. 8, found guilty, fined $75.

Sherrie L. Beaudoin, 27, Mechanic Falls, operating under the influence on Jan. 29, found guilty, fined $500 and license suspended 90 days.

John K. Beaulieu, 20, Lewiston, disorderly conduct on Feb. 17 and violating condition of release on March 27, found guilty on both charges, fined $75 on first charge; sentenced to two days on second charge.

Nathan R. Belanger, 20, Lewiston, sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 20, dismissed.

Michael W. Bell, 36, Turner, possession of marijuana on March 13, offense committed, fined $350.

Nikea M. Benner, 25, Auburn, assault on March 10, found guilty, fined $300.

Jonathan P. Bennett, 52, Auburn, disorderly conduct on March 18, found guilty, fined $75.

Keith Benson, 44, Poland, assault and disorderly conduct on Aug. 14, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, fined $150.

Ryan M. Benson, 22, Auburn, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon on Jan. 20, found guilty on first charge, fined $200; second charge dismissed.

George A. Bernard, 22, Auburn, criminal mischief on April 4, found guilty, sentenced to 24 hours and ordered to pay $100 restitution.

James J. Bernard, 48, Auburn, operating while license suspended or revoked on July 30, filed, fined $100.

Michael S. Bernhard, 43, Mechanic Falls, operating under the influence, operating while license suspended or revoked, refusing to sign a summons and disorderly conduct on Dec. 24, all charges sent to jury trial; also charged with violating condition of release and refusing to sign a criminal summons on April 5, found guilty on both charges, sentenced to four days on first charge; sentenced to one day on second charge; and violating condition of release, assault, and refusing to sign a criminal summons on April 21, found guilty on first and second charges, sentenced to seven days on first charge; fined $300 and sentenced to 120 days with all but seven days and one year probation on second charge; third charge dismissed.

Troy L. Berry, 22, Lewiston, disorderly conduct on Jan. 28, sent to jury trial.

Janelle Bevins, 19, Lewiston, operating a vehicle without a license on Dec. 27, found guilty, fined $100.

Tina M. Bevins, 46, Lewiston, failure to register a vehicle on Feb. 15, found guilty, fined $75.

Donald Bixby, 39, Poland, disorderly conduct on Feb. 12, found guilty, fined $75.

James E. Bixby, 31, New Gloucester, disorderly conduct on Feb. 12, found guilty, fined $75.

Rachel L. Bond, 23, Hebron, operating while license suspended or revoked on Dec. 18, found guilty, fined $600 and sentenced to three days.

Carla E. Bonenfant, 42, South Gardiner, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and operating under the influence on Sept. 23, both charges transferred to Superior Court.
