8th District Court, Lewiston


LEWISTON – The following cases were closed recently in 8th District Court:

Norman G. Child Sr., 53, Lewiston, violation of condition of release on July 2, dismissed.

Christopher J. Childs, 20, Poland, assault on Jan. 8, found guilty, fined $300.

Diane M. Chouinard, 37, Lewiston, operating under the influence with one prior, operating while license suspended or revoked, and operating a vehicle without a license on Jan. 4, all charges sent to jury trial.

James W. Chouinard, 47, Lewiston, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and possession of marijuana on Jan. 19, first charge dismissed; offense committed on second charge, fined $350.

Kris R. Chute, 26, Auburn, assault on Aug. 20, found guilty, fined $300 with all but $200 suspended, sentenced to 90 days with all suspended and one year probation; also charged criminal mischief, assault and violation of condition of release on Feb. 15, found guilty on first charge, fined $200; second and third charges dismissed.

Roger L. Clark, 34, Auburn, violating condition of release on Jan. 31, found guilty, sentenced to two days.

Teri Clavete, 19, Auburn, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Jan. 27, found guilty, fined $100.

Taylor S. Cofran, 19, Windham, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Feb. 23, found guilty, fined $100.

Bernard Collins, 23, Auburn, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and criminal forfeiture of property on Dec. 28, both charges transferred to Superior Court.

Scott M. Collins, 40, Jay, operating under the influence on Jan. 28, sent to jury trial.

Clifford R. Conway, 33, Auburn, disorderly conduct and cruelty to animals on Oct. 28, found guilty on first charge, fined $150 and sentenced to 24 hours; second charge dismissed.
