Agren hires three to expand service


AUBURN – Agren Appliance, 40 Minot Ave., announces the hiring of an assistant service department manager and two new repairmen, making their appliance service department the largest in the state.

George Affleck, the new assistant service department manager, is a former industrial arts teacher from Virginia who lives on an historic farm in Sumner with his wife and daughter. The big “Red Barn” next to their home, which was built in 1813 and houses Affleck’s collection of farm animals, was used on the barn dance circuit in Maine from the 1920s to the ’70s.

Bill Brown has 28 years experience in servicing appliances and comes to Agren from Sears, where he was employed for the past 21 years. He is licensed in gas and refrigeration. He lives in Auburn with his wife and their three children. His interests are spending time with his family and friends, camping, boating and fishing.

Jason Bennett is the newest addition to the Agren Appliance service team and also comes to his position from Sears, where he was employed for the past 11 years. He is a specialist in washer and dryer repair, and is also a licensed propane gas technician. Jason is a native of Bowdoin and lives in Sabattus with his wife and their three children. Bennett is a NASCAR fan, and enjoys snowmobiling and spending time on the water with his family in the summer.
