Albert J. Fiske
BETHEL — Albert James Fiske died at the Rumford Hospital on March 30, after a courageous battle with cancer.
“Jim” taught science classes at Dixfield High School, Mexico High School and Telstar Regional School as well as Gould Academy. He also taught summer programs at Skidmore College and St Paul’s. In the late 1960s, he was chosen Maine Teacher of the Year in recognition of his outstanding educational accomplishments in the classroom.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Fraser) Fiske; daughters, Catherine Liston and her husband, John and daughter, Jennifer, Caroline Fiske and her son, Ron Riuz and Cynthia Savage, her husband, Ron, son, TJ and daughter, Stephanie; son, James A. Fiske and his wife, Jeanne; a brother, Ron Fiske and his wife, Brenda, of New York; and a sister, Margaret Rice and her husband, Jerry, of New Hampshire.
