Alberta C. Casavant
1916 – 2010
LEWISTON — Alberta C. Casavant, 93, formerly of 582 Webster St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, March 17, at the Russell Park Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past year and a half.
She was born in Lewiston, April 12, 1916, the daughter of Beecher C. and Elmire M. Therrien Casson Sr. Educated in local schools, she married Antonio V. Casavant on Sept. 26, 1936. He passed away in 1991.
A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by two sons, Louis and wife, Joan Casavant, of Lewiston and Larry and wife, Christy Casavant, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Theresa and husband, Eugene Houghton, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Constance Love of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Alice Merrill of Livermore Falls, Clarice and husband, David Tapley, of Lewiston and Barbara Bubier of Greene; a brother-in-law, William Thomas of Peabody, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Mary Casson of Lewiston; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Antonio Casavant Jr.; two brothers, Edgar Casson and Beecher Casson Jr.; and three sisters, Lillian Marcoux, Althea Thomas and Lois Casavant. She will be fondly remembered for doing all of the little things that made each one of us feel very special.
