Alzheimer’s Association presents Early Stage Programs


SCARBOROUGH — The Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter has announced the following upcoming Early Stage Social Engagement Programs.

Outdoors Club: Marginal Way Walk: On Oct. 23, a representative of the Marginal Way Preservation Fund will delight participants with the facts and history about this beloved southern Maine landmark as they walk the famous Marginal Way. Afterwards, they’ll have lunch at Barnacle Billy’s Etc.

Social Programs: Autumn Memories with the Ogunquit Museum of American Art: On Oct. 28, Amy Donovan of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art will inspire participants with classic autumn-themed works of art. Afterwards, participants will create their own works of art featuring their autumn memories and experiences. No artistic background or skills are required.

Events are open to those diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias and their care partners. Participation in all programs is strictly confidential and private. Advance registration is required.
