LEWISTON – Amanda R. Chabot, 49, died on the beautiful sunny morning of Wednesday, April 26, and became a true free spirit.

She always lived her life that way, doing what she wanted, seeing the world and living life to its utmost fullest.

She was born in Lewiston, May 7, 1956, the daughter of Mozart L. and Susie E. (Gray) Chabot. She attended Lewiston schools, and was a 1975 graduate of Lewiston High School. After graduation, she left for a life of travel and adventure, settling in northern California, where she became a rabid Raiders fan.

While in California, she made her living in several endeavors working in forestry, where she replanted redwoods damaged by forest fires.

She also had been employed in the clothing industry in fashion design working fashion shows, and also had been employed as a waitress and a manager of a marina. She was a “Jackie-of-All-Trades.”

Survivors include her companion, Steve Lierley of Cazadero, Calif.; two brothers, Daniel Chabot and his wife, Angela, and Joseph Chabot and his wife, Susan, all of Turner; four sisters, Catherine Giasson and her husband, Ronald, of Sabattus, Cheryl Duval of Lewiston, Elizabeth White and her husband, Robert, of Turner, Beverly Grenier and her husband, Jim, of Oxford; 12 nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; her lifelong friend, Willow French; and her beloved cat “Hopster.”
