American Legion post to install year’s officers


LEWISTON – Lewiston-Post 22, American Legion, will hold installation of officers on Thursday, May 18, at the former Legion home, 190 Bates St. William Ciciotte, past state department commander, and his installing team will do the honors. The meeting will open at 5 p.m. followed by the installation at 5:30 p.m.

Joseph Paradis and his committee, Doris Hamel, first vice commander, Donald Dube, sergeant-at-arms, Al Landry, second vice commander, and Bertrand Mathieu, music chairman, will serve a buffet dinner at 6.

Paradis, post trustee, Post 22, said veterans are asking who to contact to have their names engraved on a stone in Veterans Memorial Park. He said a time will be set aside at the meeting to accommodate all veterans with proper ID and separation papers. Cost is $30. Dues, $23, will also be processed.
