Andy Valley earns high marks

LEWISTON – Boys from the Andy Valley Gymnastics Team of Lewiston, earned high marks at the State Gymnastics Championships held recently at Westbrook.

In Level 7, Dylan Tanguay was first All-Around (AA), as well as Floor (F), Pommel Horse (PH), Rings (R), Vault (V); Parallel Bars (PB), and Horizontal Bar (HB).

In Level 6, (ages 10-11), Andy Valley took the top 3 spots. Paul Mason won the AA, F, R, V, PB and HB. Max Soifer placed second in AA, R, PB and HB, while finishing third on F, fourth on V, and first on PH. Josh Adams took third in AA, PH, R, PB and HB, while placing fourth on F, and fifth on V. In the 12+ age group, Patrick Rojas finished second in AA, R, V and HB, while placing first on F, PH and PB.

In Level 5, Devin Harrison was first in AA and F, second on PH and HB, fourth on R, and fifth on V. Luke Sperling placed fourth in AA and PH, third on R, fifth on HB, and first on PB.

In Level 4 (ages 6-7), Joey Baumann took first in AA, F, R, V, PB and HB, and placed third on PH.

Dylan Heweitt was second in AA, F, V and HB, third on PB; fourth on R, and first on PH. In the 8-9 group, Alec Fisher took first in AA, F, OPH and HB, second on R and PB, and fourth on V.
