FARMINGTON – , 104, a former resident of Jay, passed away peacefully and received her angel wings Tuesday evening on Nov. 6, 2018, at Pinewood Terrace in Farmington with her daughter, Theresa and her great-grandson Justin by her side.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1914, at St. Marie DeBeauce, Canada, the daughter of Adeville Poulin and Valeda (Giroux) Poulin.

On Sept. 21, 1937, Anne-Marie married Emery Veilleux. They owned and operated Emery’s Esso Station in Jay for 35 years. He passed away on May 28, 1973. In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting. She also loved to care and cook for her grandchildren. She was the heart of our family and her strength, wittiness and faith is an admiration for us all.

Anne-Marie received her first Boston Post Cane for being the oldest resident in Jay in June 2013 and recently received her second Boston Post Cane for Farmington in September 2018.

She is survived by her son, Raymond Veilleux of Durham and her daughter Theresa Howatt of Jay; a brother Philippe Poulin of Montreal; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Emery; her daughter, Yolanda Mills; grandson Scott Richard; her son-in-law Rick Howatt, Sr.; and her brothers and sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., Jay, Maine. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St. Livermore Falls, Maine. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls, Maine.
