Annette A. Vyr


LEWISTON – Annette A. Vyr, 78, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Sunday, July 1, at d’Youville Pavilion after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 25, 1928, the daughter of Phillip and Alphonsine (Ouellette) Blais and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was educated in Lewiston schools and had been employed as a folder in the local shoe industry for many years until her retirement

She was married to Roger Vyr who died on Oct. 6, 2001.

She was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

She enjoyed reading, walking, watching soap operas, going out to her camp in South Harpswell, shopping and most of all loved spending time with her daughter, Janis.

She is survived by one daughter, Janis Pelletier of Lewiston; one nephew, Jerry Costello, and his wife, Sharon, of Mount Vernon; two nieces, Donna Greeley, and her husband, Chuck, of Livermore and Tina Simoneau, and her husband, Jaye, of Jay; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Fernande Blais Costello.
