WAYNE — One hot spot in the cold month of January will be the Ladd Center, 26 Gott Road, Wayne, at 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12 when the Anni Clark Reunion Concert takes to the stage.
Clark is a well-loved singer-songwriter from Maine who played at the Ladd Center several times in the 1980s and ’90s so this event will be her reunion with music fans from the area. She has recorded seven successful albums and supports her melodic vocals with six- and 12-string guitars. Her songs are filled with honest emotion and she also tells very funny stories – a combination that makes her shows pleasant to watch.
The usual assortment of absolutely delicious homemade soups and desserts will be available for sale starting at 5 p.m. The music will begin at 6 p.m. with the band Hurry Down Sunshine playing an opening set. Band members are Wayne’s own Stan Davis and Readfield’s Brian Kavanaugh, two well-respected, local musicians who sound magical together.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students at the door or in advance at the library at 17 Old Winthrop Road or the Wayne General Store. For more information, call 207-685-3612 or email [email protected]
