Annual yard sale to benefit teen center


OXFORD — A yard sale to benefit His Place Teen Center will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 21 to 28 on Route 26, next to the fish market, weather permitting.

A fresh trailer of merchandise will be brought in each day during the sale. Items will include furniture, carpets, clothes, books and videos.

The Alpha and Omega Thrift Shop, located on the lower level of the Norway/Paris Solid Waste Facility, 39 Brown St., Norway, will also be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Clothing Shack, a clothing trailer at the shop and managed by Maria Whitney, is filled with a selection of clothes and footwear for all ages.

Anyone wishing to donate items may contact Bert Rugg at 515-3000 or 743-9503. Anyone wishing to volunteers may also stop by the sale.

His Place Teen Center, a nonprofit ministry outreach, is entering its 18th year of operation reaching boys and girls ages 11 to 18 in the Oxford Hills and surrounding area.
