BRIDGTON – Fire crews remained busy throughout the day Wednesday after a noon blaze burned through an apartment building and another was reported at a motel in the early evening.
At 116 South High St., crews battled a 2 p.m. fire that ripped through a first-floor apartment, officials said. Nobody was hurt in that fire, which was being investigated later in the day by the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
After dark, crews went to Route 302 where a fire was reported at the First & Last Resort Motel, a short distance from Route 117. Bridgton fire crews were being assisted by several other departments there at about 7 p.m.
