DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (AP) — An inmate in a Maine jail is facing charges he threatened to kill Gov. Paul LePage.
Twenty-nine-year-old Leroy Dunn of Bangor was charged with terrorizing after officials say he wrote a note describing how he planned to kill the governor.
Dunn is being held at the Piscataquis County jail on drug charges from Penobscot County.
Investigators say Dunn wrote a letter to LePage from his cell, then folded it up and pushed it under the door into the prison hallway on Jan. 29.
Investigator Guy Dow says Dunn's letter described in graphic detail about how he planned to kill the governor.
Dow said he gave the letter to LePage's security detail.
The Bangor Daily News says Dunn is due in court Feb. 28 to answer the terrorizing charge.
