Arlene M. Marks


JEWETT CITY, Conn. – Arlene Mae Riggs Marks, born Dec. 27, 1928, in Monmouth, passed away peacefully on Jan 22, at Haven Health Rehabilitation.

She was the daughter of Phillip L. and Madeline Morse Riggs of Monmouth. She attended Monmouth schools and Monmouth Academy, where she met her oldest and dearest friend, Lucille Foster-Bauer.

She loved sports. She was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys. She also liked the New England Patriots. Her favorite pastime was crocheting and spending time with friends and family.

She leaves behind four children, James Cram of North Monmouth, Sharon Bickford of Leesburgh, Fla., Rolanda Wendover of Clinton Corners, N.Y. and Pamela Coon of Wauregan, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce R. Knight of Monmouth and Nancy Meadows of Chesapeake, Va.

She was the widow of Ernest Marks of Rhineback, N.Y. We love you and we all will miss you.
