Plummer to speak
LEWISTON – The National Active Retired Federal Employee Association will meet at 1130 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Ramada Inn. The guest speaker will be Charles Plummer, local historian.
Plans for the meeting were made at the home of Vi Dumais. Attending were Sue Stetson, Mike and Flo Bohunicky and Joanne Morse.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club held its annual membership game on May 16 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Overall winners in Flight A were: tie for first, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin with Martine Begert and Jeanine Kivus; third, Mike Quinn and Luke Merry; fourth, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau; fifth, Maude Abbott and Mary Leahey; sixth, Bob Berry and Lucille Theriault.
Flight B winners were: first, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau; second, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; third, Doug and Betty Sise. Flight C winners were Doug and Betty Sise. Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Multi-Purpose Center.
The club also met on May 17 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: first, Jeanine Kivus and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Larry Fortier and Anna Vitiello; tied at third, Richard Balian and Marta Clements with Tom Dahlberg and David Wallace; fifth, Roger Briggs and Claire Lyons.
Flight B winners were: first, Richard Balian and Marta Clements; second, Roger Briggs and Claire Lyons. Another game will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at both games. Call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431 for more information.
