Arthur J. Veilleux


LEWISTON – Arthur Joseph Veilleux, 44, of 75 Lane Road, Poland, died Monday, April 17, shortly after arrival at CMMC.

He was born in Waterville, March 27, 1962, a son of Donald Veilleux and Lila Lewis Veilleux, he received his GED from Portland High School and graduated from Northeast Career Schools, receiving his CDL license in 1994.

He attended the Church of the Nazarene and worked for Hartt Transportation of Bangor, for the past two years.

He loved his family, coffee with extra sugar and driving his big truck. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a love for the outdoors and its animals .

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his tinkering and his caring personality. He was always there for someone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Veilleux of Poland, whom he married Dec. 5, 1998; two daughters, Shanna Hendricks and fianc, Corey Casey and Latesa Clark-Veilleux of Poland; a son, Shawn Hendricks of Poland; his mom, Lila of Auburn; his grandchildren, Jayden Serae Michaud and McKenna Marie Casey; four sisters, Susan Veilleux of Hale, Annie Peatfield and husband, Bob, of Keene, N.H., Lisa Schmidt and husband, Randy, of Minnesota and Tina Veilleux of Auburn; three brothers and spouses, Patrick and Ruthe Knapp Veilleux, of Byron, Ronald and Melinda Veilleux, of New Sharon and Allen and Lyn Veilleux, of Jay; and several nieces, nephews and many aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his dad, Donald Veilleux; sister, Michelle Bergeron; and his maternal grandmother, Susan Lewis.
