WILTON — Two young women were transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital Thursday morning for minor injuries after a verbal argument escalated into an assault, said Wilton Police officer Nickolas Zecher, the investigating officer.
Police were called to a Main Street apartment, located downtown near the monument, shortly before 9 a.m. when a verbal disagreement turned into a physical altercation between the two women, ages 29 and 30, he said.
One woman lived in the apartment and the other was visiting.
NorthStar Ambulance was called and transported both women, who were treated for minor injuries, he said.
Charges may be pending as the investigation continues and information is given to the District Attorney’s Office, he said.
