Assembly of God to note anniversary


LIVERMORE FALLS – Emmanuel Assembly of God will celebrate its 20th anniversary during the weekend of Friday through Sunday, May 5 to 7. The former pastor, the Rev. Greg Hammond and his wife, Lucy, will attend the three-day celebration.

A worship service at 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, will begin the weekend. On Saturday, May 6, the congregation will journey back in time and revisit the church’s former meeting sites at Spruce Mountain in Jay and the Brettuns Community Building in Livermore. A spaghetti dinner will be served at the church at Shuy Corner in Livermore Falls.

Following the dinner, a slide show of the beginnings of Emmanuel will be shown as well as an open forum of “Remember When” with the former Pastor Greg Hammond.

Hammond will be the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, May 7. The service at 6 p.m. will feature a snack and social time with the Hammonds.
