Auburn man indicted on robbery charge


LEWISTON — An Auburn man charged in an October robbery of the Big Apple Store on Main Street was indicted Tuesday by an Androscoggin County grand jury on a single robbery charge.

Police said Franklin Dee, 27, of Auburn entered the store at 296 Main St. at 6:20 a.m. Oct. 24, demanding money from the clerk, threatening to use a weapon, although none was displayed, and using physical force to obtain cash.

Robbery is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Dee posted $5,000 cash bail in November.
