Audrey D. Gove
NORWAY- Audrey Donna Gove, 60, of Mechanic Falls, died Friday, Feb. 26, at Stephens Memorial Hospital with her family and her physician, Dr. James Eshelman, at her side.
She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 14, 1950, the daughter of Afton and Pauline (Richardson) Gove. She received her education in the Winthrop Schools, Kennebec Valley Training Center and the EES program in Auburn.
Audrey had a joy for life, a social spirit, not unlike her mother and sister’s, touching many, and bringing appreciation to her colleagues. She enjoyed other people, listening to music, painting, telling stories, dancing, bike riding, laughing, eating, camping and asking impromptu questions, often insightful and never ill-intended.
She benefited from numerous friends and staff at the John F. Murphy, Main Street, home in Mechanic Falls. Their comradery and support was returned with love by Audrey. To be thanked and prayed for are the staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital, medical surgical unit, and Audrey’s caring doctor, James Eshelman.
She is survived by her parents; her brother, Alan T. Gove and his wife, Nancy; niece, Lindsay Heath Beasley and her husband, Robert; niece, Meghan Gove; nephews, Jesse Gove, Nicholas Gove, Brett LaPlante and Ryal Gove; along with numerous cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Jerilyn Ann Gove Heath; grandparents, Evelyn and Jesse Richardson and Grace and George Gove; cousins, Nancy Brackett Dunham, Kevin Witherell and Jon Glynn.
