The Virginia Walkers was the top placing team, collecting more than $3,000 and it was presented a platinum level plaque.

Mykayla Conley from that team was presented a certificate for being the top youth walker.

Three teams were awarded gold level plaques, having raised more than $1,000: Hannaford, Oxford Federal Credit Union and the Rumford Hospital.

Certificates were presented to the following teams: Jacob’s Angels, Mountain Valley Middle School, Peru Walkers, Dixfield Walkers, Hope Association and Mexico One Stop, each of which raised up to $500.

Daryl Simard was honored for being the top walker. Simard walks for the Hannaford team and works all year to raise money for the March of Dimes.
