1937 – 2014
AUBURN — Barbara A. Freeley, 77, of Julie Street in Poland, died Friday, Dec. 19, at Clover Manor Health Care.
She was born in Portland on March 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Cote) Adams. Barbara married her true love, Kenwood P. Freeley, on Aug. 29, 1964, and spent many wonderful years together, until he passed away in 2006.
Barbara was a teacher for the city of Lewiston for many years, teaching mostly at the Multi-Purpose Center (now Longley) and Jordan School. She was a very active member of Poland Community Church. She also was very active with the Community Little Theatre.
She loved spending time at the family camp on Sebago Lake, especially taking rides on her pontoon boat. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, her pets and teaching arts and crafts to children.
She leaves her son, Kenwood G. Freeley, of Raymond; a niece, Marjorie Freeley, of Massachusetts; and a nephew, James Freeley, of Massachusetts.
