South Paris — Barbara H. Coville, 82, of South Paris, died Sunday, April 18, at the Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris.
She was born in Middleborough, Mass. on January 30, 1928, to Henry and Helen (Barnes) Hall. She married Paul Coville on March 8, 1953.
Barbara was a graduate of Bridgewater State College and taught first grade for over 42 years. She enjoyed being around and helping small children. Her first year of teaching was in Mechanic Falls. She liked to go for long rides and eating out. She enjoyed holidays with family, relatives, and friends. She enjoyed craft fairs and food fairs. She made several friends with the people that she met at these events. She loved pets, especially cats. She always had one to three cats in the house.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Coville, of South Paris; sister Natalie Fearing of Wareham, Mass.; brother, Donald Hall, of Wareham, Mass.; cousin, Jon Kendrick and wife, Suzanne, of Oxford; nephew Benjamin Fearing of Rochester, Mass.; brother-in-law Peter Coville and wife, Nancy, of Mattapoisett, Mass.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Home Health Care; staff at Market Square Health Care Center; and Beacon Hospice, Inc. for all their compassion shown toward Barbara while in their care.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, David Coville, in 2009.
