Benefits hunger program


BRUNSWICK – Songs by Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and other great composers of the 1930s and 1940s will be performed by seven area residents at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Crookers Theater.

Performing will be Neal Donovan, Rick Horton, Rob Jarrett, Joan Labrie, Anne Olivo and Jean Shaw. Some of the songs include “Wunderbar,” “Night and Day,” “Don’t Fence Me In,” “Anything Goes,” “Always,” “True Love” and “Sonny Boy.” Ron Carroll, program director, will be the pianist and will play several rags by Scott Joplin.

Advance tickets are $10 at Hannaford supermarkets in Brunswick and Topsham, and Bookland at Cooks Corner; $l2 at the door.
