LEWISTON — Principal W. Gus LeBlanc has announced that Jennifer Bergeron, a senior at Lewiston High School, has been recognized as the 2010 Maine Principal’s Award winner.
The Maine Principals’ Association recognizes a senior from participating Maine high school each year. Students are chosen based on their academic achievements, citizenship and involvement in school and community. All recipients of the award were recognized at an honors banquet on April 3 in Bangor, and are eligible to receive one of five $1,000 scholarships that are awarded at the banquet.
In making the announcement, LeBlanc said that “Jennifer is an outstanding student, school citizen and athlete. Jennifer is a top academic performer, a positive and respected role model for others and has distinguished herself as a-three sport athlete.”
Bergeron is the daughter of Raymond and Kathleen Bergeron of Lewiston.
