Bernadette ‘Bunny’ Blais
1928 – 2010
LEWISTON — Bernadette M. “Bunny” Blais, 82, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Monday, March 1, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Auburn, Jan. 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Ulderic and Arcilia Champoux Asselin. She was educated at St. Louis School in New Auburn and was married May 11, 1946, to Yvon A. Blais. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as secretary for the family business, Blais and Sons Construction Co. on Main Street in Lewiston.
She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, golf, making ceramics and country/western music.
She is survived by her husband of Auburn; two daughters, Connie Durrell and husband, Gil, of Farmington and Dot Dubois and husband, Denis, of Lewiston; a son, Gil L. Blais and wife, Anne, of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Travis Dubois and wife, Tracie, Aimee Dubois, Andre Dubois, Grant Durrell and wife, Emily, Lynelle Durrell, Jeff Blais and wife, Pam and Jody Blais and wife, Kim; and eight great-grandchildren, Corey, Cassidy, Holden, Colin, Britney and Nicholas Blais and Josiah and Ethan Durrell.
Her family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Montello Manor, Clover Manor and St. Mary’s Hospital for their exceptional care of their mother.
