Beverly B. Marquis


Farmington – Beverly B. Marquis, 85, of Wilton, died late Friday evening at Orchard Park Living Center where she had resided for the last month.

She was born in Farmington, Feb. 10, 1922, a daughter of Bernard C. and Verna (Erskine) Bradley. She received her education in Farmington schools and had worked in the area shoe industry, working at both Farmington Shoe and Livermore Shoe for over 25 years. She enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards. She will be most remembered as being an avid fisherman who would rather “fish than eat.” She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farmington.

She is survived by her children, Joanne Adams and her husband, Ronald, of Anson, Sandra Frost and her companion, Norman Cleaves, of Venice, Fla., Sharon Blanchard and her husband, Bruce, of Wilton, and Paul Marquis and his wife, Roxanne, of Augusta; grandchildren, Pamela Adams of North Carolina, Dean Frost of Farmington, Thomas Blanchard and his wife, Mary-Jane, of Massachusetts, Cynthia White and her husband, Lonnie, of Lamoine, Randy Marquis and his wife, Tammy, Jereme Marquis, and Stacy Marquis, all of Augusta; great-grandchildren, Tara and Kory Hiltz of North Carolina, Alec Frost of Sidney, Elizabeth, Anna, and Emily Blanchard of Massachusetts, and Hayley and Erin White of Lamoine; and a very special cousin, David Bradley and his wife, Jackie, of Massachusetts;

She was predeceased by a son, Norman, in 1988.
