Beverly J. Williams


LEWISTON – Beverly J. Williams, 72, of River Street, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 25, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Augusta, on April 16, 1934, the daughter of George W. Eaton and Hattie E. (Hawes) Eaton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends in Lewiston.

Shey was educated in Augusta schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston for several years. She was previously employed by Opportunity Farm for Boys for several years, and was an honorary member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Lewiston. She also was a volunteer for Hope Haven Gospel Mission for eight years.

Her husband, Richard N. Williams, died in 1995.

Surviving is a son, David Eaton, and his wife, Dorothy, of Augusta; a sister, Louise Moore of Augusta; two grandsons, Aaron and Gregory Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Penn; and five brothers, William, Charles, John, Richard and George Eaton.
