Elhag joins Franklin Surgery

Mohamad Elhag, MD

FARMINGTON - Mohamad Elhag, M.D., a general surgeon, has joined the staff of Franklin Surgery, previously known as Western Mountain Surgical Care. The practice is located at 167 Livermore Falls Road.

Elhag completed his surgical residency at James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn. He is Sudanese, with formal general surgery training in both the United Kingdom and United States, including Harvard Medical School. Additionally, he has had fellowship training in surgical endoscopy at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

He has worked in different venues in the United States, including Maine, where he was a member of the medical staff at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan and at Millinocket Regional Hospital from 1998 to 2000. He left Maine to provide surgical care at the Black Hills VA Hospital in South Dakota. Most recently, Elhag practiced as a general surgeon at the Quillen VA Medical Center in Tennessee.
