Brett Johnson, far right, of Kansas City, Kansas, crosses the intersection at Union and Court streets in Auburn on Tuesday afternoon with other members of his group, Bloodstained Men. The human rights organization is on a 21-city tour of the Northeast protesting infant circumcision. The protesters were joined by a few local people throughout the day as they walked the crosswalks at the intersection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help raise awareness for their cause. Many motorists were revolted by their red-painted crotches, meant to illustrate their point and cause reactions, according to the group’s spokesman, Harry Guiremand, of Kappa, Hawaii. Police received calls throughout the day and monitored the group, reporting back to dispatchers that the group was being orderly and obeying all laws.
