Bob A. Guenette


Norway – Bob A. Guenette, 59, of Norway, passed away Wednesday, May 3, with his loving wife by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on June 21, 1946, to Romeo and Rollande (Letourneau) Guenette.

He married Margaret (Peggy) Hinxman on Oct. 10, 1990.

He had most recently worked as a manager for Subway.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9787 of South Paris. He also was a former member of the Pine Tree Warriors Drum and Bugle Corp. He was an avid NASCAR fan, raced at Oxford Plains Speedway, liked watching the Patriots and enjoyed the Red Sox. He loved being around children, camping, and working in his flower garden.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Norway; four sons, Wayne Hinxman of Auburn, Frank Hinxman of Colbalt, Conn., James Hinxman of Auburn, and Raymond Hinxman of Lewiston; three sisters, Eileen Turcotte of Litchfield, Mona Liberty of Auburn and Jean Angela Carter of Greene; six grandchildren, Nathan, Nicole, Eric, Alisa, Chelsea, and Jade; one great-granddaughter, Jaden Grace Hinxman; three nieces; two nephews; four great-nephews; two great-nieces; and a special friend, “Stormy.”

The family would like to thank the fourth floor at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care they gave Bob.
