Body of teen found in Boston a week after disappearance

BOSTON (AP) – Police on Saturday were investigating the death of teen who was found in bushes just off a Boston street a week after he was last seen.

The body of Guiliado Rodrigues, 18, was discovered Friday afternoon in the Dorchester neighborhood between two triple deckers, just yards from where his picture was posted with the caption “Have You Seen Me?”, the Boston Herald reported.

Rodrigues grew up in Dorchester, but moved with his parents to East Providence, R.I., two years ago.

Rodrigues was last seen April 1. Two friends told police that a car they were in with Rodrigues was targeted by a drive-by shooter, the Herald reported. The friends said Rodrigues was last seen squatting behind the car, then running away to avoid the bullets.

Boston Police said Saturday that they were investigating the death, but declined to release any addition information.

Rodrigues was the second youngest of eight brothers and sisters raised by their mother and disabled father, family members said. His sister, Stephanie Rodrigues, said her brother’s death won’t erase his memory.

“There’s eight of us altogether,” she told the Herald. “Always eight.”

Also Saturday, police were investigating two other deaths, including a woman found dead from a gunshot wound on Saturday morning in the Roxbury neighborhood. Police said they found a firearm at the scene, but would not release additional details.

On Friday afternoon, police found the body of David Hall in his South End condominium after concerned family members called when Hall missed an appointment, building manager Bill Kasper told The Boston Globe.

David Procopio, a spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney, said the residence wasn’t ransacked and the door had been locked.

Police called the death “suspicious” Saturday, but did not release further details.
