PARIS — The Paris Public Library’s New and Old Classics Book Club recently changed its format. Instead of three month of readings around a particular theme, participants will now choose a book at each meeting for the following month’s discussion.
The group primarily focuses on novels considered classics or contemporary classics on major critical reading lists. The lists incorporate a wide variety of genres.
The group meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at the Paris Public Library.
Participants may purchase, through the library, a copy of the book being discussed, bring their own or use one of the copies obtained from the collection or interlibrary loan. Discussion questions for each title are available at the Circulation Desk.
The next meeting wil be on Wednesday, May 26, when the group will discuss “Brideshead Revisited,” by Evelyn Waugh.
