LEWISTON — The wedding of Shannon Carol Bosse and Derek Scott Wilding was held at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The Rev. Nathan March officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bosse of Lewiston. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dain Wilding of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a diamond white, slim-line chiffon gown with a plunging, halter neckline. Lace and Swarovski crystals embellished the bodice front and created a dramatic illusion lace back treatment. The Empire waist was softened with the gentle pleats of chiffon that cascaded from the center front to the hem. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangea with cream roses and white stephanotis flowers with rhinestones in the center.
Christy Gasstrom, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids, all friends of the bride, were Renee Salisbury, Nicole Hess, Jaime Spencer and Tracy Turner. Zoe Hess was the flower girl.
Adam Wilding, brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Brad Bosse, brother of the bride, and Cory Black, Aaron Chiaravelotti and Daniel Marriner, all friends of the bridegroom. Brad Gasstrom was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn. After a honeymoon in Tahiti, the couple is residing in Auburn.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2001 graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy. She is currently enrolled at Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion, pursuing her dream of becoming a cosmetologist.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2003 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy with a bachelor of science degree. He is currently employed as a marine engineer with Transocean Inc.
