It may be in a rebuilding mode, but depth and tradition should help propel three-time defending Class A state champion Lewiston to the top of the heap again.

Mt Ararat will be a difficult opponent in Eastern Class A with talented freshman Mike Hill leading the way. Hampden features defending state champion Elliot Potvin.

Edward Little hopes to challenge for a Class A playoff berth.

Oak Hill will be aiming to return to the playoffs in Class B. The Raiders return Nic Daggett, Drew Rountree, Evan Travers, Chris Blais and Jon Perron.

In the Mountain Valley Conference, Lisbon will be looking to earn respect with Tim Roy and Nick Carville, Pedric Marenlus and Kyle Goodard. Dirigo will challenge with nine returnees, including singles players Mike Holmquist, Nate Archibald and Enrico Ross. Doubles could be key with Kaile Underwood and Colby Knapp, and Nick Goddard and Josh Saphire.

Former Dirigo standout Matt Chamberlin takes over at Monmouth. The singles lineup includes seniors Chris Eldridge, Pat Trentholm and junior Louis Masi. Scott Turcotte and Nate Trentholm will play first doubles.

Jay and Mt. Abram look to improve.

St. Dom’s has to fill some holes, but look for Joe Theriault to find success in the Western Maine Conference. Fryeburg should be improved.
