Mountain Valley 10, Jay 9
RUMFORD — Brady Fergola belted an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Mountain Valley to a 10-9 victory over Jay in MVC baseball action Monday.

Izaak Mills led the Falcons (6-3) with three hits and five RBIs, highlighted by a pair of home runs. His second homer tied the game at 9-9 in the sixth frame.

The Tigers (4-6) jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the first before Mountain Valley put up six runs in the second to get back into contention.

Jacob Lord started out on the hill for Jay and suffered the loss. Lord also led his squad with a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Livermore Falls 9, Telstar 3
LIVERMORE FALLS — James McLamb scattered six hits and drew ample run support as Livermore Falls rolled to a 9-3 victory over Telatar in a MVC baseball matchup Monday.

Brian Maurais led the Andies (9-2) with a two-run blast in the first inning. Brandon Hodges belted a solo shot in the fifth, while Maurais, Willie Brown and Derek Castonguay all had two hits each.

Corey Howard and Dan Whiting led the Rebels (4-5) with two hits apiece, while Kyle Peterson was tagged with the loss. 

Oak Hill 5, Nokomis 4

WALES — Cody Plourde’s triple sent Mike Rawstron home with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Oak Hill outlasted Nokomis, 5-4, in a see-saw KVAC baseball game Monday.

Oak Hill rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take the lead on Cody Provost’s bases-clearing double in the sixth. Nokomis took the lead again with two in the seven, but the Raiders scored in the bottom of the frame to send the game into extra innings. They needed only two pitches to win it in the eighth. Ben Dyer pinch hit for Rawstron and was hit with the first pitch. Plourde rapped his triple down the line on the next pitch.

Tim Levesque went the distance for the Raiders (4-6), striking out 16 and walking four. Plourde had a double to go with his triple, and Josh Prue added two hits. Chris Braun took the loss for the Warriors (4-6).

Lisbon 16, Monmouth 3
MONMOUTH — Alex Hall scattered five hits and struck out five in five innings of work as Lisbon raced away to a 16-3 victory over Monmouth in MVC baseball action.

Jo Osmond led the powerhouse Greyhounds (10-1) with three RBIs, while Marcus Bubar went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Frank Angelico and Mike Degou also drove in three runs each for Lisbon in a well-balanced attack. 

The winless Mustangs (0-9) received two hits from David Hobson, while Tim Whitmore, Billy Cummings and Jeremy Ashlock all pounded out a hit.

Dirigo 11, Carrabec 0
DIXFIELD — Ben Holmes made an impressive debut on the mound Monday, striking out seven, walking one and giving up one hit in five innings as Dirigo cruised to a 11-0 rout over Carrabec in MVC baseball action Monday.

David Guildford belted a two-run double in the first frame that proved to be the game-winner. Tyler Gates, Tyler Chiasson and Guildford all led the Cougars (8-2) with two hits each. Dirigo jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the first and was never challenged.

Dylan Dominski worked the first three innings for Carrabec (1-9) and was tagged with the loss. 

Mt. Abram 11, Madison 6
SALEM — Josh Beede pounded out four hits and drove in five runs to lead Mt. Abram to an 11-6 victory over Madison in an MVC baseball matchup Monday. 

Dylan Tisor chipped in for the Roadrunners (7-2) with two hits and one RBI, while Kim Smith belted a pair of hits. Beede also picked up the mound win with a solid seven-inning performance. 

Madison (1-9) was paced by Steve Cusson and Nick Moody with two hits each. Cusson also pitched the first three innings and was tagged with the loss.
