AUBURN — St. Dom’s rallied back from a five-point deficit Thursday and pulled away to post a 54-49 win over Hall-Dale in more KVAC boys’ basketball action.
Matt Dyer led the Saints with 14 points, while Zak Johnson chipped in with 13. Eric Ulin also contributed with eight points, while Nick Hatfield added seven.
The Bulldogs were paced by Michael Woods with a game-high 20 points, while Brian Allen chipped in with 10.
Gray-NG 63, NYA 36
YARMOUTH — Gray-New Gloucester jumped out to a nine-point lead in the first frame and sprinted away to post a 63-36 romp over North Yarmouth Academy in boys’ basketball Thursday.
Andreas Kariotis led the Patriots (2-8) with 19 points and 11 rebounds. David Chanlatte chipped in with 11 points and seven steals, while Landon Thibeault added 10 points and made five assists.
North Yarmouth (4-7) was paced by Justin Paxton with a solid 12-point effort, while Jacob Gendron chipped in with nine.
Madison 60, Mt. Abram 50
MADISON — Madison came out of the gate at full tilt Thursday, building a 34-17 lead in the first half before pulling away to record a 60-50 win over Mt. Abram on Thursday evening.
Austin Kane led the Bulldogs (6-6) with a collegiate-like 27 points, while Jared Miller chipped in with 13.
The Roadrunners (6-6) were paced by Amos Withee with 21 points, including five shots from beyond the arc. Ian James also contributed with 12 points, while Calum Dixon added 10.
Mountain Valley 55, Telstar 27
BETHEL — Mountain Valley hit full throttle in the second and third quarters, hustling to a 55-27 rout over Mark Thurlow’s Telstar squad in a MVC boys’ matchup Thursday.
Jacob Therriault ignited a 16-2 run in the third frame, tallying seven of his 14 total points. Ryan Nichols chipped in for the Falcons (8-3) with 12 points, while Adam Volkernick added 11.
The Rebels (1-11) were led by Mike DelDuca with 10 points, highlighted by a pair of crisp three-pointers. Nick Mills also contributed with six points.
Boothbay 71, Oak Hill 47
BOOTHBAY — John Hepburn set a blistering pace with 25 points and seven rebounds, leading all players and lifting Boothbay to a 71-47 victory over Oak Hill in an MVC boys’ basketball tilt Thursday.
Anthony DiMauro chipped in with nine for the Seahawks (11-1).
Serek Gamage led the way for the Raiders (5-6) with 10 points. Parker Asselin added nine on three 3-pointers.
