Boys Soccer: Blue Devils rout Messalonskee


OAKLAND — Abdirahman Shariff netted a hat trick and added an assist as Lewiston boys soccer posted a 6-0 victory over Messalonskee on Thursday. 

Maulid Abdow scored the first two goals of the match before Sharrif tallied the next three. Joseph Kalilwa rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils (12-0-1). Hassan Mohamed recorded two assists, and Shariff and Gage Cote each added one. 

Lewiston held a 28-8 advantage in shots. Jonah Webb finished with 10 saves for the Eagles (5-7), while Lewiston goalkeeper Austin Wing made four in a winning effort. 

Messalonskee held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
