Bradley announces run for Charter Commission


MECHANIC FALLS — James Bradley of Mechanic Falls has announced he will run for the Androscoggin County Charter Commission, representing District 2, which includes the towns of Auburn, Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland.

Bradley has worked for the University of Southern Maine since 1998, with the last eight years working at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College. He has served for the last five years as state president of the Associated COLT Staff of the Universities of Maine, which represents more than 1,000 support personnel in the University of Maine System. Bradley has also served as state treasurer of ACSUM.

Last year, Bradley was appointed by Chancellor Richard Pattenaude to serve on the University of Maine System’s New Challenges, New Directions task force which was charged with restructuring the University of Maine System to meet a projected $40 million budget shortfall. He is also municipal chairman of the Mechanic Falls Democratic Town Committee.
