‘Breakwater’ author will give talk at Lewiston library

LEWISTON — Local author and Sun Journal sports writer Kevin Mills will discuss his latest novel, “Breakwater,” and sign copies Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Lewiston Public Library.

“Breakwater” continues a family exploration and journey begun in Mills’ first novel, “Sons and Daughters of the Ocean,” published in 2009. The new work looks at how life can be dictated by destiny, changing without warning. The story chronicles the lives of two characters, related, but generations apart, and the similar fate that each discovers and longs to understand.

Mills has also written work of nonfictio, “Sidelined,” which examines journalism from the sidelines. He has been recognized by the Maine Press Association and the New England Press Association.

“Breakwater” may be purchased at Maine bookstores, through Maine Authors Publishing and at Amazon.com as well as www.kevincmills.com.

The free talk/signing will be at 6 p.m. in Callahan Hall. For more information, call 513-3135 or email  [email protected]
