BRIDGTON — Phyllis Ginzler, president of the Bridgton Hospital Guild, presided at the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on Aug. 3 at the Naples Golf and Country Club.
A summertime tradition for the not-for-profit charitable organization, the event provides recognition and gratitude for the hardworking volunteer individuals who run the Guild Thrift Shop on Main Street and the Twitchell Cafe on the Bridgton Hospital campus.
Ginzler, assisted by Sue Strong, manager of the cafe, and Emily Hammerle, manager of the thrift shop, pins were presented to the following volunteers:
2,500-plus hours: Jeff Hanscom
2,000-plus hours: Emily Hammerle and Sue Strong
1,000-plus hours: Diana Fallon
500-plus hours: David Croteau, Eileen Croteau, Jim Fallon, Pam King, Elna Stone, Tom Stone, Marge Blaney, Terry Curns, Ann Ineson, Jean Kobrock, Sherry Morrison.
250-plus hours: Beverly Forbus, Kerry Lebroke, Charlotte Perham, Pat Casey.
100-plus hours: Bob Finck, Susan Campisano.
In addition, Governor Awards for Service and Volunteerism, signed by Gov. Paul Lepage, were presented to volunteers with 500-plus hours of service.
