OTISFIELD – The town of Otisfield is accepting soccer registrations for students in grades one through six. Applications may be filled out at the town office on Route 121. Donna Chickering will begin general practices for all players from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, behind the Otisfield Elementary School, Powhattan Road. PARIS – A baked bean supper will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at the First Baptist Church of Paris. There will be sittings at 5 and 6 p.m. The menu will include several kinds of baked beans, hot dogs, lasagna, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, salad, yeast rolls, brown bread, pies, crisps, coffee, ice tea and punch. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Containers of beans will be available for takeout.
Proceeds will go toward office equipment.
WEST PARIS – A yard and food sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the West Paris Historical Society, Main Street. It will be held rain or shine. There will be hot dogs and beverages available.
PARIS – The Maine Veteran’s Home, 477 High St., South Paris, will hold its annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. There will be a large selection of handmade craft items. Baked goods will be on sale, also. Admission is free.
