LEWISTON – “Look Good … Feel Better,” the American Cancer Society’s program for assisting women who are faced with appearance changes resulting from cancer treatment, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 18, at Central Maine Medical Center’s Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center, 12 High St., Suite 103.

Kennel club to meet
SABATTUS – The Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, will feature Rick Celentanno, district manager of Nutro Dog Foods, who will talk on canine nourishment.
The meeting will be held at the Sabattus Town Hall, Route 9. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

TOPSHAM – The Maine Apostles and Prophets Conference will be held Friday through Sunday, July 20 to 22, at the Freedom Life Center, 655 Augusta Road.
Dr. and Mrs. John Eckhardt and the FCF Community Church will host the conference, which will focus on the role of apostles and prophets in the modern church and help bring clarity to the move of the holy spirit in the present day.
Special guest speaker will be Chuck Clayton of Apostolic Resource Ministries. The opening session will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and the closing at 7 p.m. Sunday. A ministers’ luncheon will be held at noon Saturday, open to all regional ministers of the gospel. The luncheon will be followed by a ministers’ convocation when regional ministers will share in a formal setting the present emphasis of the holy spirit in the New England church.
Trip to Val’s
AUBURN – Modern Woodmen of America district office at 67 Minot Ave. will sponsor a day at Val’s in Lewiston from 11 a.m. to closing Wednesday, July 18.
The cost of $3 a person will include selected menu items, beverage, tax and gratuity. Tickets must be purchased at the district office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. For more information, call 783-8804.
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on July 10 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Nancy Lindgren and Lucille Theriault; second, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Patricia Quinn and Mary Leahey; fourth, William and Joanne Soterion; fifth, Richard Balian and Helen Little.
Winners in Flight B and C were: first, William and Joanne Soterion; second, Richard Balian and Helen Little. Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at the center.
The club also met on July 11 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: first, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; second, John Hackett and Leslie Buzzell; third, Martine Begert and Mary Leahey; fourth, Anna Vitiello and Joanne Soterion.
