Tables for rent

WATERFORD – The Waterford/Stoneham Lions Club is new and has donated funds to area organizations such as Stoneham Rescue Service and Camp Susan Curtis. But this time members are sponsoring an event to benefit a 26-year-old man who is paralyzed after a fall at a building site.

Members are looking for crafters who want to rent tables for $10 and for donations to the actual sale, planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Waterford Municipal Building, Route 35. Rain date will be Sunday, July 29.

Members will travel reasonable distances to pick up larger items. They request no clothing. For more information, call Lucia Owen at 928-2062 or Pat Wright at 824-4246.

Outdoor market

DIXFIELD – The Dixfield Main Street Outdoor Market Committee met on June 26 to discuss plans for this year’s market, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. Vendor spots are available for a $15 fee, which will be used to advertise the event.

Any money not used for advertising will fund local projects, such as hanging floral baskets in downtown Dixfield and a donation to the historical society.

The road race will be held early in the morning and will start from the village green. For more information about participating in the road race, call Paul at 562-7172.

Vendor spots are 10-by-15-feet, and applications may be picked up at Log Cabin Craftworks. Call 562-8816 daytime for details.

Schools are welcome to participate.
