Mission visitors

NEW VINEYARD – The Mountain View Bible Church will host missionary Matao Santiago and son, Genesis, at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 15, at the church, Church Street.

They are from the Philippines and will describe their work. They will be present for Sunday school at 9 a.m., church service at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday night service at 6 p.m. The church women’s choir will present “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” as special music.

Benefit dance

FARMINGTON – A benefit spaghetti dinner for the family of the late Mitch Boulette, who lost a battle with cancer July 6, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 20, at the Farmington Elks Lodge, West Farmington. Prices are $8 for adults; $4, children under 12. Tickets will be available at the door.

A benefit dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. that same night at the Elks Lodge. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Good Times Unlimited on Farmington Falls Road, or at the Farmington Elks Lodge for $8 single, $15 couple.

Family day

OXFORD – Lake Thompson Fish and Game will hold a family fun day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the facility on the Paine Road. There will be a running deer shoot and a trap shoot. The public is welcome. Rain date will be Sunday, July 22.

Vacation school

CARTHAGE – The Carthage Seventh-day Adventist Church invites children ages 5 through 13 to a “Root’in, Toot’in, Round Up” Vacation Bible School. The “Round Up” will run from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 23 to 27.

The days will guitar music, campfire stories and food. A closing program for parents and community will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the church. Any youth older than 13 who wish to attend or assist is welcome.
