RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the River Valley Grill, Exchange Street.
RUMFORD – The Mexico High School Class of 1977 Reunion Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Boiler Room Restaurant. The group will plan the 30th class reunion to be held sometime this summer. Anyone who is interested in working on the reunion is invited to attend. MEXICO – Class of 1954 at Stephens High School will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Dick’s Restaurant. All are welcome.
RUMFORD – The Rumford Public Library will screen the 1953 Oscar-winning movie, “War of the Worlds,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the library. It will initiate this year’s Friends of the Rumford Library classic film series. Duration of the science-fiction adventure is 85 minutes. Popcorn and other refreshments will be provided. Film and refreshments are free.
RUMFORD – The Rumford Indoor Soccer Klub invites all Western Maine soccer players to play indoor soccer. The club will host teams from the surrounding area to participate in 5 v 5 soccer this winter. Games will be played from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sundays at Mountain Valley High School gym. It is free and open to the public.

MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library’s preschool story and craft hour will feature stories about snowmen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16. Children ages 2 to 5 are welcome to hear the following stories: “Snowmen at Night” by Caralyn Buehner, “The Snowman Who Wanted to See July” by Nicole B. Estavanik, “Snowball Fight!” by Jimmy Fallon and “Toby and the Snowflakes” by Julie Halpern. The craft will be spool snowmen.
