RUMFORD – Rumford Senior Citizens are reminded that the group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 22, at the Senior Center, 50 Congress St. Input from all members is requested on some items at the meeting. There will be a food basket raffle to benefit the Relay For Life.
The group’s TRIAD benefit bingo was successful as was the rockathon held at 533 Hancock St. The monies donated there will go to Relay For Life.
Yard sale set
MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will host a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, in the area behind the library and town office or indoors in case of rain.
In addition to the sale of used books, videos and baked goods, the library extends an invitation to anyone who would like to rent a table/space and sell their own yard sale items. The cost will be $10. All money taken in from a yard sale vendor’s table will go to the vendor.

WOWs to meet
RUMFORD – The WOWs, Widows or Widowers Sharing, will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, in the Rumford United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
There will be a sing-along of old songs with piano accompanist Jean Hersey, and selections will be played by Mary Pulsifer on her flute. All area widows and widowers are welcome. For more information, call Margaret at 364-8624 or Peggy at 364-2617.
